Requirements
Supervise and mentor the purchasing team to ensure adherence to best practices in procurement management.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) effectively.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Managing just in time inventory of both raw material and supply related materials.
- Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price and delivery, and service both foreign and domestic.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management, with a focus on vendor management and sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS or SAP systems is highly desirable.
- Experience in inventory control processes and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to fabricate solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for price analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
