What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer I position at Harvest Food Group?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with production line in manufacturing facility.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Feeds production line with ingredients and materials.
- Measures and controls ingredient percentages.
- Ensures conformance to specifications.
- Mixes ingredients.
- Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or ingredient issues.
- Follows instructions from supervisors.
- Follows and sustains 5S program
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to work within timelines and in pressure situations
- Available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends when needed
- Able to stand for sustained periods of time, approximately 10-12 hours a day
- Able to work in refrigerated environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb to perform job functions as needed
