We are seeking a Materials Buyer to join our team! You will be responsible for the direct purchasing of materials necessary to complete operational projects.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate available supply channels to increase product value and reduce production cost
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors
- Establish material and equipment budget
- Analyze and assess demand for production projects
- Log and record all invoices and purchasing orders
- Monitor inventory and storage of raw materials for manufacturing
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a purchasing agent or other related fields
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- 10 years experience :A solid and stable work history is a must
- Team player who is willing to step up when needed
- Inventory management experience is needed
- Strong computer skills
- Strong communicator
- Ability to quickly learn their products and processes.
- Ability to develop and keep good vendor relationships
- Analize, maintain and monitor suppliers, lead-times, source list, materials, Etc.
Salary : $75,000 - $82,000
