What are the responsibilities and job description for the DEPOSIT OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR position at Hawthorn Bank?
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing technical support for the deposit systems and the coordination between those systems. This position will assist in the oversight of all deposit software programs and data query. Work is performed within the framework of standard audit program guidelines; however, a high level of independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the administration of all deposit, teller, and deposit operations data query software systems.
Maintain systems, access groups, products, and change logs. Develop and maintain operating controls to ensure changes are authorized and tested.
Coordinate, schedule, plan and implement software releases, updates and enhancements.
Test new features and functions of the software; develop new functions to assist in workflows.
Manage reports and monitor systems for process deviations.
Monitor deposit operations admin and data query ticketing system, including fulfilling such requests.
Coordinate between systems and departments to ensure all systems work to the end user benefit.
Work with management to onboard new and maintain existing deposit products, including product consolidation and mapping projects
Coordinate with training department to ensure information regarding systems and systems changes are distributed.
Coordinate and manage deposit systems projects, ensuring end-to-end achievement of project’s defined goals.
Train all Deposit Services staff on systems as needed.
Coordinate with JHA on cases as necessary.
Brief supervisor weekly on the status of pending activities.
Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops and involvement in professional, civic, and community groups in leadership positions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Possess a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution in business administration, computer information systems, or closely related coursework. Plus additional education and/or training.
Professional work experience in deposit software systems administration and support, project management, or other closely related areas may be substituted on a year-for year basis for the required education.
Possess a minimum of four years of professional or technical experience in computer software administration, project management, deposit operations, or a combination thereof.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the ability to operate PC and printer, copy and fax machines and telephone. Must have good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software programs. Network administration.
