Business Analyst

Hazen and Sawyer, a leading firm specializing in environmental engineering and water/wastewater treatment, is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst with a focus on digital experience and digital consulting services. The ideal candidate will possess a solid business acumen, have experience with digital tools, systems, and networks, and will have strong analytical skills to drive process improvements and innovation within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives within utility management services.

• Support the analysis of current business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization.

• Participate in interactive workshops and discussions to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights and solutions.

• Identify and recommend digital solutions, systems, and tools to enhance operational efficiency.

• Support data analysis and interpretation to provide strategic recommendations for process enhancements and technology implementations.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, developers, and project managers to drive successful implementation of digital solutions.

• Contribute to the development of business cases, project plans, and documentation to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering field
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) or engineer in training (EIT) with an MBA, or Environmental Scientist with an MBA, or digital technology/IT background with an MBA.
• 0-6 years of experience in business analysis, digital solutions and services experience, or utility management services.
• Ability to analyze data and derive meaningful insights to drive decision-making.
• Familiarity with water quality and/or water/wastewater conveyance and treatment processes is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
