Job Summary and Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patients progress toward achieving functional goals. The OTR supervises therapy assistants, aides and students. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
• You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
• You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
• You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
• You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.
• State of Practice Occupational Therapy License.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• New graduates from accredited school may apply.
• No experience Required Years of Experience.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340 bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Womens & Children’s healthcare services. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
