Reason open: Bandwidth legacy AWS environment to new environment
Legacy AWS (8 10 years) upwards to 50 applications with large multitenant account
Now more automation and micro accounts where every application has its own account (move multi-tenant to micro)
Use Open source Terraform that applications were using when created years ago
Large number 150 applications to move in next 15 months
Currently 7 Terraform engineers
Expand the bandwidth
2 weeks per application at high level
Variables some applications same, learning curve
Day to day:
Terraform build
Logistics of firewall and permissions
