Job Description
Novello Imaging, a brand-new state-of-the-art imaging center located in Traverse City, is expanding its services to meet the growing demand. As a result, we are hiring a part-time MRI Technologist with the expectation to work between 16-24 hours per week, as late as 9 pm, and occasional Saturday’s. Hiring process is completed by The HCS Group, LLC. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Novello Imaging focuses on the delivery of high-quality services of radiological needs, such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-Ray services. We work with all insurance as well as cash-paid services.

The MRI Technologist’s responsibilities include explaining the MRI procedure to patients, screening patients for MRI safety, selecting and optimizing imaging parameters, viewing images for excellent quality, starting and completing exams in the EMR and verifying all images in PACs.

MRI Technologist Responsibilities:
- Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
- Verifying orders.
- Positioning patients and verifying correct body part.
- Insert and then remove IVs and catheters for the MRI procedure.
- Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
- Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
- Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
- Daily QA
- Must be a graduate of an accredited MRI program or have an associate degree in applied science (radiography).
- Proven experience with MRI equipment and patient care.
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Attention to detail.
- Interpersonal and technical skills.
- Effective communication skills.
