We have 11 clinics located throughout the River Region, 2 mobile clinics, and 4 school-based clinics in partnership with Montgomery Public Schools. 

HSI is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. Dental Hygienists conduct oral examinations, perform dental prophylaxis, and carry out other duties related to the preservation of dental health and prevention of dental disease. 

This position typically works a standard schedule of 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, however, schedule adjustments may be necessary based on need.

Our dental hygienists perform a number of duties, including:

• Demonstrates knowledge and clinical skills required to operate the instruments and equipment necessary for dental procedures and maintains dental instruments and equipment in proper working order.
• Delivers direct patient care to patients as assigned, including: remove calcareous deposits from teeth, accretions, extrinsic stains and application of fluoride treatments.
• Assesses, and documents in the patient’s chart, condition and needs of patient.
• Develops and implements individualized dental care plans for patients and performs patient education.

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of a Dental Hygienist training program from and accredited educational institution.
• Current license in the Dental Hygiene issued by the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist.
• CPR/BLS certification.
