Optician- Insight Vision Care

Insight Vision Care in Edina, MN, is looking for a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality eye care, and our ideal candidate is a knowledgeable, detail-oriented individual with a passion for helping patients achieve their best vision. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection, taking into account prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and fashion preferences.
• Measure, fit, and adjust eyeglass frames to ensure optimal comfort and functionality.
• Perform precise lens fittings, verifying prescription accuracy and quality.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyeglass care.
• Process orders and coordinate with labs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of eyewear.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on frames and lenses.
• Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an optician in a retail or clinical setting.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in optical equipment, lensometry, and optical software.
• Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to patient satisfaction.
• Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail in measuring, fitting, and verifying eyewear.
• Certification (Preferred): ABO certification is preferred but not required.
