Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures. Responsibilities: - Review and verify patient insurance information - Accurately code and submit medical claims using appropriate coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-10) - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure proper resolution - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes - Answer patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage - Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to medical billing practices - Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred - Proven experience working as a Medical Biller in a medical office setting - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-10), and billing procedures - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Note: Experience with dental receptionist duties or dental software such as Dentrix is a plus. Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.
