What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Assistant position at Healthmax?
Billing Assistant specific duties include, but not limited to:
Responsible for biweekly payroll department operations including:
- Develop in-depth understanding of ADP payroll system
- Calculate and invoice client's monthly spenddowns.
- Approving EVV timesheets into billing software
- Batching timesheets to DHS for payment
- Ensuring billing is correct by comparing billed vs turned in
- Reconciling payments received from DHS
- Investigating anad correcting denied claims
- Calling DHS to check status
Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office Suite(including Outlook, excel, Onedrive, Sharepoint, and Powerpoint)
- Excellent customer services skills
- complete ongoing training, adapt to changeswith enthusiasm, and willin to learn and take on new tasks.
- Work and stay on task with minimal supervision.
- Have excellent math skills
- All candidates must be able to pass a DGS background study and maintain clearance.
- Project management skills are a plus
- Attention to detail
May be asked to perform other duties that are important to the smooth running of the company such as answering phones, greeting walk-ins, scanning, and saving documents, light cleaning , and special projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
