The Lead Counselor I is a registered or certified substance use disorder professional who maintains registration from an approved / accredited California agency. The Lead Counselor I works in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes for the client and provide treatment in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360’s philosophy, goals, policies, mission, and vision.
Acts as the Counselor I Shift Lead and coordinates assignment and rotation of facility coverage. The Lead Counselor is responsible for coordinating lunch breaks, facility rounds, donations, visiting coverage, meal monitoring, detox rounds, and behavioral rounds. The Lead Counselor I provides supervision and oversight of the clients and children throughout the facility with shifts ranging to provide 24 / 7 coverage. The Lead Counselor I supervises clients during chores, visiting hours, meal times, medication line, detox, donations, groups, and free time. The Lead Counselor I is customer service-focused and is quick to take the lead in providing crisis intervention and client stabilization. The Lead Counselor I has a high degree of self-awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
