Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental terminology, experience with medical records, and familiarity with dental software such as open dental. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and delivering high-quality service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Record vital signs and assist in managing patient flow within the clinic.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when needed, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including working with pediatric patients and those requiring prosthodontics.
- Packing cord, taking impression, delivery crown and bridge.
- Assist dentist with restoration.
- Assist dentist with surgery.
- Propose treatment plan and treatment accepted.
- Translation when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience using Dentrix or similar dental software; knowledge of Epic is a plus.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, particularly with pediatric patients.
- Certification expanded duty assistance .
- At least 3 of experiences.
- Happy, reliable, responsible, team work personality.
