Hearth is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. This mission is accomplished through a unique blend of prevention, placement, and housing programs all designed to help elders find and succeed in homes of their own. To this end, all housing operated by Hearth provides a creative array of supportive services that assist residents to age with dignity, regardless of their special medical, mental health, or social needs. Hearth believes these goals are best accomplished through respect for elders and staff, with the desire to see both achieve their highest degree of potential.


Primary FunctionThe Program Evaluation Associate will play a key role in supporting Hearth’s mission by managing data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to evaluate program impact and effectiveness. Working closely with the Director of Data and Evaluation and cross-functional teams, the Associate will ensure high-quality data management, provide actionable insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position is essential for fostering evidence-based decision-making and maintaining Hearth’s commitment to organizational learning and accountability.


Data Collection, Evaluation and Management:

  • Assist in designing and implementing efficient data collection tools and processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into systems such as ETO and Clarity.
  • Perform weekly data accuracy checks and regular audits to maintain data quality.
  • Provide technical assistance for client databases (ETO, Clarity).
  • Prepare and follow up on monthly staff data quality meetings, ensuring action items are addressed.
  • Support the evaluation of Hearth’s programs to measure their effectiveness and impact.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Create clear summaries, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings.
  • Collaborate on Service Billing reports to ensure they reflect up-to-date and accurate data.
  • Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders, including funders and policymakers.
  • Contribute to annual performance reviews, grant proposals, and compliance reports.
  • Take detailed minutes during meetings led by the Director of Data and Evaluation, capturing discussions, action items, and next steps.
  • Document discussions and follow-ups during monthly data quality meetings with staff.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to data collection and evaluation practices.
  • Stay informed about emerging best practices in program evaluation and integrate them into Hearth’s processes.


Education, Experience and Licensure:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, data analytics, computer science or a related field strongly preferred


Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in program evaluation, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with data management systems such as ETO, Clarity, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Prior experience in nonprofit or social services sectors is a plus.

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
