What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director position at Heartsworth Nursing & Rehabilitation?
The Activity Director is in charge of overseeing the day-to-day activities of nursing home residents. In this role, you will design and schedule a calendar of activities (for example: bingo, religious services, book club, arts and crafts) with the goal of keeping elderly residents engaged in their community.
Job duties include:
· Maintaining a monthly calendar of a variety of activities and effectively communicating it to all residents.
· Coordinating and communicating with staff members
· Overseeing group activities
· Planning and executing life enrichment activities for our residents
· Spending time with residents one on one
· Coordinate and work with community members, volunteers, families, schools etc. to provide fun and diverse activities for our residents.
· Make sure to go to all the residents to drive participation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
