RBC Bearings is Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer - Heat Treat Near Rogersville, TN
Duties/Responsibilities:
General:
- Promote and provide for a safe working environment through all aspects of the facility.
- Provide daily ownership and support of heat treatment processes in support of manufacturing requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of heat treat processes both conventional batch IQ and Induction fixture quench technologies.
- Participate in manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering lean manufacturing activities.
General:
- Strong interpersonal skills with operators, skilled trades, peers, and management.
2. Hands-on self-motivated engineer required.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work successfully in a team-based environment.
5. Experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite of products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver productivity improvement projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Industrial experience / knowledge in the following areas is desirable:
a. Conventional Batch IQ case carburizing of steel components.
b. Induction heat treating automated processes.
c. Manufacturing automation. (Robotics, PLCs, Pick & Place Mechanisms)
d. Machine / process trouble-shooting ability.
- A minimum of three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
