As our Electrical Engineer, you will perform daily engineering functions and work on special projects in a producing underground hard rock mining operation. You’ll work both in short-range electrical planning and developmental design, as well as Mine Automation & Technology. You will be called upon to work with the mine engineers on life-of-mine planning, projects and electrical needs.

Here’s what you can expect in this role: 

• Training first. We provide training on not just what to do, but how to do it safely. Your first four days on-site will consist of mine safety training.
• You are a professional engineer in Alaska (or able to obtain reciprocity through another state).
• You are able to apply your abilities to identify and resolve problems, and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
• You will use any past exposure to underground planning software Deswik, EPS, AutoCAD, VentSim, and/or ShotPlus to your advantage. 
• You have experience in mine costing and financial analysis techniques to explain variances, evaluate projects and prioritize allocation of electrical resources. 
• Safety is important. You will ensure the safety of yourself and others in the workplace. You will take due care while performing your work.
• You are able to be a dependable team member and communicate processes and ideas effectively. You will be a part of a team you can rely on, a team that has your back.
