Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Manufacturing Team Supervisor, the Pack Op Utility is providing break coverage to the Pack Ops, replenishing supplies to the cells as needed, and deep cleans/housekeeping, as well as actively participating in team meetings. The Pack Op Utility is also responsible for knowing and understanding all Pack Op duties. The Pack Op Utility will be expected to adhere to company expectations regarding quality procedures. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Essential Functions:
Providing break coverage to Pack Ops throughout the work day
Replenishing supplies at the cells in their area as needed.
Bringing new supplies to the cell during job changeovers.
Able to read and understand the work order
Actively participate in meetings.
Basic understnading in the inventory system especially involving the retreiving of and return of supplies.
Advise Mfg Team Supervisor of any concerns as they relate to production.
Understand and perform all Pack Op functions
Understand work instructions
Communicate with Supervisor regarding break issues
Perform routine housekeeping and keep work areas clean and orderly.
Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's certifications by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
Other Functions

Assist in other areas of production as needed.

Coordinate breaks within the cell and provide coverage as necessary during this time on required presses.

Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
High school diploma or equivalency required.
Fulfill all the requirements of a Packaging Operator.
Basic computer/data entry skills using a mouse and/or keyboard is required.
Ability to read, write, and accurately perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
Ability to follow written or oral instructions accurately.
Must be able to stand, walk and work for up to 12 hour shifts.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
Must be a quality conscious, detail orientated individual.
Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime / weekends as needed is a requirement of the job.
Good communication skills.
