About Us :

We are a specialized law firm dedicated to representing senior citizens and legally disabled individuals in matters related to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Our mission is to provide compassionate, effective, and knowledgeable legal representation to those most in need, ensuring their rights are protected.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team. This is a remote position , offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

Position Overview

As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with our team to represent clients in FDCPA matters. You will handle client communications, reserach, and case organization. This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about consumer protection law and committed to advocating for vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal representation to senior citizens and legally disabled clients in FDCPA-related cases.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored information.
  • Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to reach favorable resolutions for clients.
  • Maintain organized case files and comply with all firm protocols and procedures.
  • Stay current on developments in FDCPA law and related areas.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school .
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.   You do not have to live in North Carolina, but you do need to be admitted to the NC Bar.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one other U.S. jurisdiction is a plus.
  • Willingness to pursue admission to additional state bars, with firm support, to meet client needs.
  • Demonstrated interest in consumer protection law, particularly FDCPA matters.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with senior and disabled clients.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with remote work tools and technology is a plus.
