JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for radiation safety, computer dosimetry, assisting in treatment planning, determination of output and quality of therapeutic and diagnostic beams. Serves as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the Medical Center and Facilities.

State Licensure in Therapeutic Radiological Physics
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
Deals effectively with community / consumers
Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care
Requires ability to handle confidential information
Accountable to Medical Director for the prog.clin / prof services
Compile and analyze reports
Compile statistics
Compose applicable policies and procedures
Compose letters / memorandums
Compose pertinent policies and procedures
Coordinate meetings
Develop and compile statistical data
Generate reports
Input data into computer programs
Interview therapists in appropriate clinical discipline
Maintain filing systems
Maintain logs
Maintain patient charts, including documentation
Maintains manuals
Maintains work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards
