What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - CNC Lathe Operator (2nd Shift) position at Hendrickson Intl?
Position Purpose :
Machine Operators complete a variety of maintenance, development and operations tasks that promote the efficient production parts in the Rough Bore department.
Essential Functions :
- During cycle load feed conveyor to machining centers and unload finished product
- Continuously monitor the operation of Rough Bore, adjusting speeds and feed as required
- Make adjustments to the robot as needed
- Maintain tooling; perform changeovers
- Perform quality checks constant 100% visual; record date
- Interact with computer programs; use precision measuring instruments
- Detect and report faulty products
- Cross-train other employees as required
- Fork Truck Operator; drive fork truck, locate product in proper areas of the plant, move material and equipment where needed
