About the Role:
As a Field Service Manager at HERCO, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our field service team. Your main objective will be to manage and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of our equipment at headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI and when necessary at customer sites with or without leadership and/or when the field service team is unable. You will be expected to provide technical assistance to our customers over the phone and in person to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the team's schedules and ensuring that all work is completed within budget and delivered on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in field service management on capital equipment or machine tooling or cell automation acceptable
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, field installation, and field operations following project scope of work, timelines, travel, safety protocol, procedures, and budget
- Experience with building automation, HVAC controls, control panels, preventative maintenance, tooling, large/heavy machine capital equipment
- Excellent written (SAP, tablets, MS Office Suite) and verbal communication. Team player and positive yet firm interpersonal skills
- Current passport with no travel restrictions into Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the HPDC - manufacturing industry
- Experience with project management software - MS Projects
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of our equipment at customer sites and in our shop including run-off, FAT/SAT documentation
- Provide technical assistance to customers
- Manage the team's schedules and ensure that all work is completed within budget, reporting weekly to internal departments status of projects
- Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, strong attention to detail following procedures, processes and operations
Hourly wage (DOE) bonus eligible 6 months after hire
