What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser/Barback position at Hialeah Park Racing & Casino?
FUNCTION
The Busser/Barback is responsible for providing the bar area with supplies and providing the bartender with items upon request that helps assure that the guests will have a favorable gaming experience. Additional responsibilities: delivering food to the customers, bussing all pertinent tableware to the kitchen and ensures consistent product quality as well as quantity.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for providing the bars with supplies and providing the bartender with items upon request.
Responsible for bussing all tableware from dining room to kitchen, and ensuring all items are clean and presentable.
Responsible for putting out bus pans for glasses, bottles, and dishes, and then returning them to the kitchen when full.
Responsible for re-stocking the bars with any items needed by the bartender or Cocktail Waitresses.
Retrieve requisitions from the storeroom and take them to the food and beverage venues.
Fill out complimentary water cylinders in the casino and venues.
Responsible for running the food from the kitchen to any food & beverage venue assigned by the Manager (s) /Supervisor (s)
Ensures that rolls are set on table when customers are seated, returning butter and creamers to the pantry, and clearing tables and stations.
Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor/manager related to the F&B department.

Development of service and product image to the customer.
Always conduct themselves in a polite and professional manner.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma is required.
No previous restaurant experience required.
Be able to fulfill physical requirements of a Busser’s job – carry heavy trays (20lbs. at least) for long periods of time.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Must have flexibility to work a flexible schedule which will frequently include, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
