Higher Ground Transportation Services Inc. is a full-service executive van and bus company that provides safe, reliable, and customizable service ground transportation for all occasions. Higher Ground has been in business for 18 years.
Immediate opening for Van drivers with preferred experience in working with school aged children with IEP's. Must be able to be flexible with your schedule. All Van drivers hired for the Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPSS) contract will have to go through Pre-Service training for a Van Aide and ASV Driver (Alternative Service Vehicle). You will be required to undergo a background check and drug testing and with succesful completion you will be able to attend the training to be dual certified as a Van Aide and ASV Van Driver. You to have a clean driving record to meet COMAR standards to be able to work the BCPSS contract. Some lifting and bending is required to assist children on the vehicle, if need be. You have to be dependable as you will be expected to work when scheduled. applicants with a current DOT card are strongly encouraged to apply. You will be required to log student transportation attendance and absents.
Other opportunities for van drivers is the Atheltics Contract where you will transport children with IEP's tp and from their scheduled games. Must be flexible with your schedule and able to work at moments notice. Will have to sucessfully complete a drug test and background check.
Paid training is contingent upon successful completion of the onboarding process and showing up for work consistently for two weeks after your first day of work after training.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
