Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking an experienced Manager of Contract Administration for their Legal department. This individual will review, revise and negotiate contracts for complex scope and/or high-dollar projects, and supervise the work of direct reports.
Essential Functions:
- Identify, analyze and summarize contract risk points as they relate to a wide variety of scopes of work
- Conduct complex contract negotiations with third-party customers
- Oversee the processing of contract documents to ensure that operations understands and authorize contract terms
- Initiate and oversee special projects in furtherance of operational collaboration and education
- Serve as the principal contract liaison between operations, corporate departments and outside customers
- Plan, develop, and conduct presentations for training purposes on a variety of topics; both remotely and in-person at branch locations
- Supervise the work of others and mentor subordinate members of the department in accordance with their developmental aspirations and goals
- Develop and tracks key metrics in order to improve performance outcomes for the department
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- 8-10 years experience in construction contract administration, management, evaluation, or related field
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business, law, or a related field, or comparable work experience
- Ability to travel 20% annually
- Highly skilled in developing contracts
- 3-5 years of experience in a position of leadership with direct reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and task management
- Ability to adapt and have fexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions, to analyze complex information to interpret complex data; to effectively demonstrate negotiation
- Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies
- Great ability to facilitate trainings and highly skilled in public speaking
- Ability to create engaging content for said trainings
- Extreme attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience in the field of construction; law; risk management preferred
