Municipal Project Engineer

What You Will Do:

• As a Project Engineer, you will play the lead role in the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for our public and private clients.
• You will collaborate with other groups/ disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients.
• Specific tasks that you will perform include design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation.
• You will compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications for projects.
• You will also help with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement and other presentation opportunities.
• You will oversee the work of EITs or Technicians.

As you advance in your career, you may also plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that projects are delivered within prescribed time frames and budgets. The coordination activities include regular communication with the client, project schedule and budget oversight and subconsultant coordination.

What You Will Bring:

• Successful candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school and 4-7 years of experience in Transportation / Municipal engineering or related field.
• You will have the ability to prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents and have a functional understanding of design software packages, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Our preferred candidate will have their North Dakota PE license or the ability to obtain their license within six months.
