Duties
- Manage patient accounts by processing billing and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct medical collections to ensure timely payment from patients and insurance companies.
- Review and analyze patient records to verify accuracy of information for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in patient accounts or billing issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their accounts, payments, and insurance claims.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations regarding medical records and billing practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing or collections is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical office operations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers and insurance companies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
