What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment/Front End loader position at Hilco Transport?
Currently seeking for Full-time Front End Loader who can operate a rubber tire loader.
Responsibilities will include load bulk solid waste into transfer trailers to be hauled to a landfill.
- Direct the flow of incoming trucks onto the tipping floor.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks in the operational area including shoveling, raking, sweeping and picking up litter making sure the transfer station stays clean.
- Ability to work the outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Operate a rubber-tire loader within an enclosed structure in close proximity to truck traffic.
- Use on-board, electronic scales to weigh material being loaded.
- Operate a loader-mounted tamp and/ or excavator to tamp material into trailers.
- Roll and unroll trailer tarps from the ground using a 12’ tarp handle.
- Climb ladders, stairs and perform strenuous overhead work.
- Communicate with crewmembers, drivers and customers.
- Maintain written logs of trailers loaded, equipment inspections and random waste inspections.
- Read and understand the facility operations plan.
- Perform daily maintenance inspections on equipment and perform basic daily maintenance tasks,i.e. add fuel, add lubricant oils, grease machine components, clean radiator, check filters, etc.
- Wear required PPE including hard-hat, safety vest, work gloves, and safety glasses.
- Handle safely exposure to diesel fuel, grease, motor oil, hydraulic oil, antifreeze, and solid waste.
Requirements:
1 year front end loaders experience.
40hrs occassional overtime weekly.
Work is Monday- Friday every other Saturday..
Steel-toe work boots.
