Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer I will be responsible for the design and implementation of custom software / hardware used to control automated testing. This position also involves system integration and troubleshooting, occasionally interfacing with customers, and providing on-site support of delivered systems as necessary. This position is expected to be either at a desk designing or in the lab validating designs under the mentorship of senior engineers.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with a team to design electromechanical assemblies for test systems.
- Under a senior engineer's mentorship create drawings, electrical diagrams, schematics, wire list assembly instructions, and bills of material for electromechanical assemblies including test racks, cables, chassis, and circuit cards.
- Troubleshoot and debug circuits and wiring in test systems to effectively diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
- Write test code to verify and test prototype circuits in the test lab
- Design to customer / project requirements and project budget constraints.
- Reviews and approves product documentation for internal and external users.
- Provides engineering support by answering questions and requests from program managers, customers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Review and release documentation per Hiller Measurements process including Engineering Change Request
- Follow Hiller Measurements configuration management standards for drawing revision control.
- Takes ownership of goals, project schedules, and milestones.
