Position Summary :
Hillwood Communities is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its growing business in our Dallas, Texas Headquarters. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in maintaining and developing financial models for existing residential communities and joint ventures, analyzing each community's performance, and communicating financial results in a timely manner.
Responsibilities :
- Financial Modeling : Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes. Analyze historical financial data and industry trends to forecast future performance accurately.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Collaborate with business units to gather relevant data, identify key assumptions, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Variance Analysis : Conduct variance analysis to assess actual performance against budget and forecast. Investigate and explain variances, identify trends, and provide insights to management on potential risks and opportunities.
- Management Reporting : Prepare and distribute regular management reports and dashboards, highlighting key financial metrics, performance trends, and actionable insights. Customize reporting formats to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
- Financial Planning Support : Support strategic financial planning initiatives, including scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and long-term financial projections. Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and assessing their potential impact on financial performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments, including Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment of financial plans with operational strategies.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline financial planning processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve efficiency. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to optimize FP&A workflows.
