Summary

The Benefits Coordinator will work directly with the HR and Accounting Dept within HMC. They will be responsible for providing key support in the administering of employee benefits and leave of absences. Assist in the production of benefits and leave materials and communications. Manage leaves administration, process requests, and track leave within provider portals and Netchex HR and Payroll system. Assist in administering benefits enrollment for annual enrollment, initial eligilbity, and life event eligibility. Maintain accurate benefit and leave records. Communicate effectively with brokers, benefit providers, and vendor partners to ensure accurate employee benefit assignment. Support employee base with timely and accurate benefits and leave communications and responses to inquiries. Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with associates, peers, and superiors.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist with administering various employee benefit programs, such as group health insurance, life, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and health savings accounts.
  • Process and maintain all employee benefit and leave data within HRIS system.
  • Partner with payroll department, brokers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers to ensure accurate enrollment of employees in selected benefits.
  • Search employee personnel and benefits files and furnish information to authorized persons.
  • Reconciliation and accuracy of monthly benefit invoices and benefit data contained in HR/Payroll System
  • Manage company leave policy requests, COBRA, FMLA, PDL and other federally or state required benefit and leave compliance.
