Job Description:
HireQuest Direct is seeking a motivated and well-spoken Outside Sales Representative to join our internal team. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for tracking sales leads from lead generating databases and traveling throughout the assigned territory to visit regular and prospective General Contractor customers in the construction industry. The goal is to gain new business while maintaining Best in Class customer service. The Outside Sales Representative communicates with customers and our operations team daily, which includes negation of staffing agreements, pricing, and credit terms to ensure a smooth sales process. This is a fast-paced role with multiple customers at various stages of the sales pipeline.
To be successful as an Outside Sales Representative you should be able to build rapport, be an active listener, problem solver, as well as organized with strong technical skills. Responsibilities as our Outside Sales Representative:
- Engage in sales, marketing, and business development.
- Actively walk commercial construction sites to talk to prospective and existing General Contractor customers.
- Aggressively track sales leads, based on information from lead generating databases, newspapers, business directories, and other sources.
- Understand customers’ needs and moving efficiently through our detail-oriented sales process.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to visit regular and prospective customers, gain new business and maintain good customer service (12-20 customer visits a day)
- Following up on leads, outstanding deliverables, and action items in a timely manner to keep the sales process moving efficiently.
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales forms/customer applications.
- Strategize and communicate daily with fellow team members.
- Record all customer and prospect contact information in proprietary software and transmit reports to management on a weekly basis.
- Assist with operations at the Branch on an as-needed basis.
- Be flexible with your schedule so that you can take customer calls beyond the set daily field hours and attend any networking or customer events as they arise.
Requirements:
- Experience in sales and/or customer service a plus
- Proficiency is MS Office
- Ability to aggressively close new business
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record (past 3 years)
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to adapt to and perform in inclement weather
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach toward problem-solving

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
