We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and costs effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The Construction Estimator will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide accurate estimates that align with project goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with project plans and budgets.
- Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Review contracts to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with cost control measures and contract management processes.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
