The Floor Manager is a self-starter who supports and leads all aspects of our business. You are expected to deliver a high-quality menu and motivate staff to provide excellent guest service. The Floor Manager must understand the company culture and align management style with the organization's goals and mission. A high degree of accountability is required. The Floor Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining guest services. The position is responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the store, including implementing the company's Mission Statement, developing FOH staff, and maintaining extremely positive guest experiences.
- Maintains and supports a positive, collaborative culture within the organization as a whole, fully embracing the culture and values statements espoused by Hiro & CO
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with guests and co-workers.
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to guest complaints
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
- Assist with ‘hourly’ employee functions when needed
- Work directly with the Human Resources Department for recruitment, performance review, on- boarding and off-boarding, and other essential administrative tasks as necessary
Experience:
Proven work experience in restaurant leadership, Floor Manager/General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role.
Proven customer service experience as a manager
Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and Toast.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
Must be able to sit or stand for a long period of time throughout the workday.
Must be able to do repetitive motion with fingers, hands, and arms.
The daily workweek schedule may vary.
