Job Description
The Hispanic Health Council is seeking an experienced and highly organized Practice Manager to oversee and manage the administrative practices of our Compassion Center, a vital part of our Behavioral Health Department. The incumbent will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the center, support clinical staff, and optimize patient care services through effective administrative management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily administrative operations of the Compassion Center, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality client service.
- Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Manage the center's scheduling system to optimize patient appointments and resource utilization.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Monitor and manage the center's budget, including expense tracking, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support the delivery of behavioral health services, including managing referrals and coordinating care.
- Implement and manage office policies and procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including community organizations, vendors, and insurers.
- Handle patient inquiries and complaints, resolving issues to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Ensure the center is compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations and accreditation standards.
- Performs related work as required.
This is a grant-funded position. The position is contingent on grant funding.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in supervising and managing administrative staff.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare administration processes, medical terminology, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare management software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required and two (2) years of experience in a healthcare management or practice management role, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
