We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grout Truck Superintendent to support CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) lining projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation of a grout truck, ensuring proper grout mixing, transport, and application during CIPP pipeline rehabilitation. This position demands precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in both operational and environmental aspects of the work. The role also includes responsibilities as a CCTV operator for pipeline inspections and performing confined space entry when required.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and coordinate grout truck operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Monitor the mixing, pumping, and application of grout to meet project requirements.
Ensure proper material handling, storage, and usage to minimize waste.
Oversee and adjust work schedules to meet project timelines.
Team Leadership & Communication :Lead and supervise grout truck operators and laborers.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and suppliers.
Resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during grout operations.
Operate Grout Truck for CIPP Projects :Safely operate the grout truck to mix, transport, and inject grout into pipelines during CIPP lining operations, ensuring optimal results.Prepare and Mix Grout :Properly mix grout materials, ensuring correct ratios, consistency, and viscosity tailored for the CIPP applications.Grout Injection :Monitor and adjust grout injection pressure, flow, and other parameters during CIPP lining to ensure the grout is applied according to specifications and provides a long-lasting result.CCTV Operator for Pipeline Inspections :Operate CCTV equipment to inspect pipelines before and after the CIPP lining process. Record and analyze video footage to identify issues or areas that need attention, ensuring the pipeline is prepared correctly for lining and that the end result meets the required standards.Equipment Maintenance & Inspections :Conduct regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the grout truck and CCTV equipment to ensure all components are functioning correctly. Perform basic maintenance tasks as necessary to keep the equipment in good working order.Job Site Coordination :Work closely with other crew members, project managers, and engineers to ensure grout injection and CCTV inspections align with CIPP project specifications and timelines.Safety Compliance :Adhere to all safety regulations, protocols, and environmental guidelines to ensure the safety of the crew, the public, and the environment throughout the project.Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving :Quickly identify and address any issues with the grout truck, CCTV equipment, or CIPP lining tools, working efficiently to resolve them and minimize project delays.Clean-Up and Site Maintenance :Ensure job site cleanliness and proper storage of all equipment at the end of each day or project phase, maintaining an organized and safe working environment.Requirements :
Experience :Previous experience operating grout trucks or similar heavy equipment is preferred, especially in CIPP lining or pipeline rehabilitation projects. Experience with CCTV pipeline inspection is a plus.Licensing :A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required.Confined Space Certification :Must be certified and able to safely perform confined space entry as required by the project.Maintenance Skills :Ability to perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on grout trucks, CCTV equipment, and related tools.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.Capable of working in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods of time.75% of travel required and flexible travel schedule.
