CLINICAL NURSE I - IRVINE PICC SERVICES

Salary Range: $45.58 - $74.17

As an active participant of the Vascular Access Program, the Clinical Nurse I places PICC/Midlines and difficult peripheral IVs with high accuracy. Assists the radiology department in a nursing role as assigned. Assists manager in developing educational programs for physicians, nurses, patients and families and helps to revise policies and procedures related to IV therapy. Assists with the development of new products and equipment. Supports quality program for PICC and mid-line catheters and gathers data for trends analysis and/or performs other quality improvement functions related to IV therapy.

Education, Training, or Experience

Required:

• Current licensure in the state of California required.
• BLS certification is required prior to clinical rotation.
• CRNI certification preferred .
• Three to five years of intravenous therapy experience with two years of PICC line and mid-line experience.

Skills or Other Qualifications

Required:

• Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control, ability to follow instructions, knowledge of age of population served , and additional skills and knowledge of equipment may be required for hire into some patient care departments.
