What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor position at Hofstra University?
As a General Counselor, you will play a critical role in creating a safe, fun, and memorable experience for campers while encouraging teamwork and good sportsmanship. In this position, you will be responsible for taking attendance, following a set schedule of indoor and outdoor activities that change daily, supervising campers in the locker room, on the pool deck, and during lunch. General Counselors should be energetic, engaging, and enjoy coordinating and playing recreational games (including gaga, volleyball, dodgeball, etc.) with campers in grades 2-10.
High school seniors and current college students with an interest in working outdoors are encouraged to apply.
General Counselors are supervised and receive support from their Group Leader.
