Our Seasonal Traffic Control Officers are responsible for actively monitoring parking, controlling, and redirecting traffic in the assigned area to mitigate congestion and facilitate the flow of vehicle or pedestrian traffic.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

• Directs and provides traffic control during peak times and special events to prevent congestion and expedite the safe and orderly movement of vehicular traffic
• Responsible for setting up, managing, and removing temporary traffic control schemes as necessary
• Communicates with other traffic officers, security, and emergency response teams via radio, to provide and receive updates on traffic conditions
• Interacts with Guests and team members providing directions or assistance
• Acts as a deterrent to undesirable behaviors and actions
• Issues warnings or traffic-related citations as necessary
• Monitors radio and other communication devices

Requirements

• Must be in good standing and certified as an Indiana Police Officer and/or Fire Fighter
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain self-control during peak periods, incidents, interpersonal conflicts, and emergencies
• Experience directing vehicle traffic in a high-volume setting preferred
• Must have completed traffic control training and follow the guidelines as mandated by their respective agency and State laws
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions
• Must be able to operate in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
