EXPERIENCED PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution
- Washington State Professional License
- Extensive pediatric occupational therapy experience
- Valid Washington driver's license, reliable transportation, a good driving record, and proof of current personal liability insurance
- Willingness to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Neurodevelopmental treatment training
- Sensory Integration certification
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN EXPERIENCED PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
You work Monday - Friday with no weekends or holidays. We're flexible with hours, so we can work together to make a schedule that fits your needs! You'll mostly be in the field with occasional in-office or at-home admin work.
You provide occupational therapy services for young children, using a combined medical and educational model to deliver comprehensive support. We prioritize an interdisciplinary, family-centered, and culturally diverse approach, ensuring each child's needs are properly addressed. With a compassionate attitude, you perform crucial evaluation, assessment, treatment, and consultation services.
Using a parent-coaching model, you engage with children and conduct therapy sessions in natural locations. You tailor your treatment plans to each child's needs and abilities, supporting them in learning motor skills, sensory integration, and life skills. As you conduct your sessions, you educate families and provide them with the tools they need to encourage progress outside of therapy. You attend weekly meetings, take part in case conferences, and collaborate with other talented therapists to fuel a unified vision for our organization and our clients!
