What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician Full Time position at Holy Cross Hospital?
Full Time Overnight Technician
- Floor stock medications are refilled and appropriate patient charged
- Pyxis training is completed with proper knowledge in stocking machines, reviewing reports, and handling nursing concerns.
- Restocks, programs and trains others in automated dispensing machine on nursing units and ancillary departments
- Knowledge of location of all hospital departments and services is necessary for timely completion of responsibilities
- Lists appropriate products for re-order of supply when needed
- Competently handle packaging equipment and documentation. Associated appropriate signatures and checks are documented
- Trains new associates on dispensing responsibilities
- Performs other job-related duties within job scope as requested
Minimum Qualifications
Must have National Pharmacy Technician Certification or in Lieu of this Certification a Licensed Pharmacist Intern is required.
Must be registered by the State of Florida
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of two (2) years additional education and/or experience
