Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is accepting applications for a full-time Middle / Upper School Assistant Band Director for the 2025-2026 school year.
Teaching responsibilities include assisting in one 9th-12th grade band class, an advanced 7th / 8th grade ensemble, a concert 6th / 7th grade ensemble, Foundations level band class, and co-teaching a 6th grade general music class. Other responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of four annual concerts, participating and preparing students for GMEA and GISA sponsored events, providing music for various HIES community events, organizing field trips as part of the curriculum, and supporting other performing arts programs.
Candidates preferably have a specialty in brass or percussion instruments and should exhibit superb communication skills, a desire to assist in building a comprehensive band department across all divisions, an eagerness to inspire young people musically, and be committed to working as part of a dynamic arts team.
Qualifications include teaching experience in the middle and / or high school band classroom. A master's degree and Georgia teaching certificate are preferred, but not required.
