POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking 2-3 skilled, compassionate, and professional Home Healthcare Aides with STNA credentials to join our agency and provide care and support to clients in Holmes County, (incl. Glenmont, OH), Tuscarawas County, and surrounding areas.
Part-time and Full-time STNAs needed:
- Part-time schedules are available with immediate start, plus flexibility to create a weekly schedule that fits your personal life, with reliable hours (and pay) every week.
- If a Full-time schedule is desired, we will work to build this with you (not required).

Starting Pay Rates:
- No Experience / First-time Caregivers: $14.50/hr automatic $0.50/hr increase after 6 mos. of consecutive employment
- Qualified HHAs: $15.00/hr
- CNAs: $15.50/hr
- STNAs: $16.00/hr
- And... additional starting rate increases for qualified candidates with 5 and 10 years of experience and positive employment history
A successful Home Healthcare Aide provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist in their region. You will be assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professionals and perform services for clients as necessary to maintain personal comfort and safety in their home.
Report to: RN Case Manager / Administrator / Director of Nursing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- STNAs preferred. CNAs and non-certified aides committed to building a caregiver career with our agency are still encouraged to apply (see pay rate table).
- Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation. CNAs and STNAs desired!
- Meet the training and/or certification requirements of the state in which the home health aide services are being provided. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.
- CPR and First Aide Certifications required (or can be obtained prior to hire date through our agency or accredited third parties).
- Be at lease eighteen (18) years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.
- Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need.
- Current driver’s license, good driving record, and/or reliable transportation is required.
- 1 years of experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Performs simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist.
- Range of motion exercises
- Assistance in ambulation or exercises
Performs personal care activities, including by not limited to:
- Bathing
- Shampooing
- Skin care/nail care
- Oral hygiene
- Shaving
- Dressing
Performs household services essential to health care at home, including but not limited to:
- Meal preparation/feeding
- Laundry
- Light Housekeeping
- Assists in the patient in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes opening a container or pill caddy & handing it to the patient, but does not include administration of the medications.
- Knows and follows infection control policies including proper hand washing techniques.
- Reports any observed or reported changes in the client’s condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
- Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client’s records. Completes the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.
- Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
- Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational needs.
- Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.
- Treats patients and families with respect. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Accepts and fulfills assignments with the agency. Exercise good judgment in accepting assignments.
- Participates in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Identifies learning needs to agency supervisor.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary
