About the Position
The Field Driver & Field Supervisor is a dual-role position that involves both supporting the Field Supervisor Department with transportation and documentation tasks, as well as overseeing the delivery of care by Home Care Aides (HCAs). This individual will be responsible for assisting with client visits, ensuring that HCAs follow the established plan of care, and supporting the documentation and logistical needs of the department. The position reports to the Field Manager.
Responsibilities
Field Driver Duties:
- Assist in the collection of task sheets and other important documentation from clients, HCAs, and various departments.
- Accompany Field Supervisors to client visits when unfamiliar with an area or when additional support is needed.
- Work with other departments to collect necessary paperwork from clients or HCAs.
- Transport paperwork and other materials to and from various client locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Manager.
Field Supervisor Duties:
- Document client visits in the Client Visitation Log and maintain accurate client and HCA files.
- Review task sheets submitted by HCAs for completeness and accuracy.
- Contact each client not visited during the month and complete the call log.
- Conduct quarterly or as-needed visits to clients’ residences to assess physical or environmental changes and document updates.
- Evaluate HCAs annually for performance, efficiency, and quality of care, and recommend training or development as necessary.
- Be available during business hours to address client or HCA questions and concerns.
- Resolve conflicts regarding attendance, record-keeping, and client scheduling with HCAs.
- Notify the Staffing Coordinator of any changes to the client’s health or living conditions.
- Attend training and department meetings as required.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all AUAF, MCO, and IDoA regulations, including supporting HCAs in following procedures related to the EVV device.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation.
Exceptional customer service skills, including excellent communication, patience, and compassion.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
Proficient in using computers, standard office technologies, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to go the extra mile to help both internal and external customers.
Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible schedule.
Training
- Complete IDoA required Homecare Supervisor Training (HOST) within 90 days of employment
- Complete 24 hours of in-service training on aging related subjects within each calendar year
- Complete additional training as assigned by AUAF management
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 10lbs
- Operate office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, phone, computer)
- Extended periods of time on the phone, typing, and reading on a computer screen
