What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gas Station Assistant Manager position at Home Oil Company?
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all gas station customers
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers with fueling their vehicles
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning fuel spills and restocking supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services
- Upsell additional products or services to customers when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and additional languages if applicable
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using technology for wireless sales or other related tasks
- Time management skills to ensure efficient operations during busy periods
