Job Title : Home Care Aide (Preferred Male Caregivers)

Job Description : We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable male Home Care Aide to provide assistance to a client with cognitive issues. The ideal candidate will be understanding, calm, and able to provide a safe and supportive environment. This position requires providing stand-by assistance with basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) , meal preparation, and offering a sense of security for the client, who has difficulty understanding social cues.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assistance with ADLs : Stand-by support with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance as needed.
• Meal Preparation : Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to the client’s dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper portion sizes and safety while eating.
• Monitoring & Supervision : Offer continuous supervision to ensure safety, especially due to the client’s cognitive challenges. This includes assisting with reminders, ensuring proper hygiene, and providing support for tasks like managing medications or managing simple household tasks.
• Emotional Support : Provide comfort and companionship, recognizing the client’s emotional and mental needs. A calming and empathetic demeanor is crucial.
• Behavioral Awareness : Understand and manage the client’s cognitive challenges, particularly around issues like limited social cues. The caregiver should remain patient, flexible, and responsive to changing behaviors.
• Safety & Mobility Assistance : Assist with transfers and light mobility support to help the client move around safely within the home.
• Record Keeping : Track and report any changes in the client’s behavior, routine, or health status to supervisors or family members.
