Director of Sales - Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of sales operations and functions while providing exceptional customer and employee experience.
Job Duties :
Coach the sales team using a system of group and one-on-one meetings, regular observation of individual selling skills, and daily feedback to salespeople about strengths, weaknesses, and sales performance and help them set priorities.
Manage a sales team that meets sales volume and performance goals, Measure and record the results of the teams efforts and report historical and anticipated results.
Professionally interacts, assists, and maintains positive, effective, and open communication with all personnel, vendors / manufacturers, and customers.
Effectively interacts with various departments to ensure resolution of problems that require executive judgment.
Responsible for opening and closing the place of business in a proper manner.
Work with executive management and strategic planning teams to review company policies and make changes when necessary to best serve the company, employees, and customers.
Oversee recruitment and hiring of sales staff, both as needed and in an ongoing process to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
Conduct interviews with potential candidates in accordance with Homemakers interviewing policies.
Job Requirements :
Effective people skills required to relate well with customers and coworkers.
Analytical skills to problem solve and to offer alternative solutions to customer needs.
Ability to organize work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Always maintain a professional appearance and a calm positive professional manner, particularly in stressful situations.
Able to prioritize duties and manage time to work effectively to manage sensitive and heavy workload.
Adhere to all department, office, and company related operational, safety, and human resource policies, and procedures.
Job Qualifications :
Education : High School diploma, some college, preferred.
Experience : 4-5 years sales manager experience for furniture or related company.
