We're hiring empathetic caregivers to assist clients with daily living activities. You'll follow personalized care plans set by our agency Care Managers, providing services like companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands. Depending on client needs, you may also offer transportation and personal care assistance, including bathing and dressing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1,000 hours of experience with geriatric or chronically ill individuals preferred (approximately 6 months full-time or 12 months part-time). Exceptions for newly licensed CNAs or HHAs, or those offering only companionship and housekeeping.
- CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not required.
- Current TB test results are necessary.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including safe client transfers.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance if transporting clients.
- Strong communication skills.
- Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to pass national and state criminal background checks.
- Verifiable professional and personal references.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and Follow Care Plans: Provide assistance as outlined in each client's personalized care plan.
- Offer Comprehensive Support: Duties vary and may include companionship, meal prep, housekeeping, transportation, shopping, medication reminders, and personal care tasks.
- Communicate with Care Manager: Report any client concerns or emergencies promptly.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow infection control practices and request necessary PPE.
- Timekeeping and Documentation: Clock in/out using ClearCare Telephony and update tasks before leaving. Submit appropriate forms for non-visit hours.
- Professional Appearance and Conduct: Maintain professionalism and adhere to the company dress code.
- Dependability and Teamwork: Be punctual, participate in training, attend meetings, and follow company policies.
Organizational Relationship:
Report to the Care Manager for client care and receive scheduling from the Staffing Coordinator.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
Ability to safely transfer clients and travel to their residences using reliable transportation.
