Title: Physical Therapy Aide
Location: West Chester, PA
Schedule: Part-time/Full-time Monday-Friday

RESPONSIBILITES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Is responsible for assisting the therapists in the treatment of non-Medicare patients, under the therapists’ direct supervision, including but not limited to the following:
- Retrieving hot packs and/or cold packs.
- Setting up exercise machines as necessary for each individual patient.
- Monitoring exercise repetitions/form as requested by the therapists.
- Cleaning up after patients and therapists as necessary.
- Is responsible for adhering to work schedules, which are created to maximize hours of patient care and patient volume, therefore, schedules may vary from day to day depending on patient need, including early morning hours, evening hours and Saturday hours depending on clinic.
- Is responsible for being able to perform all front desk job duties including but not limited to answering the phone, scheduling patients, patient registration, insurance verification, charge entry, payment posting and daily reconciliation.
- Is responsible for doing laundry (if applicable) and ensuring towels, gowns, etc. are clean, folded and put away in the appropriate place.
- Is responsible for continually cleaning plinths, equipment, etc. after each patient use.
- Is responsible for attending monthly clinic staff meetings or if unable to attend, he/she is responsible for obtaining a copy of the written agenda from the Center Manager.
- Is responsible for maintaining current CPR certification.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
EDUCATION
- The PT Aide position requires a minimum of a high school diploma.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Physical Demands:
- According to the US Department of Labor Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), the strength requirement of a physical therapist aide is medium. Must have adequate physical strength to assist with resistive activities.
SKILLS
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, physicians, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
